376,133. Trimmings for upholstery. BROOKE, A., 37, Ford Street, Coventry. Oct. 27, 1931, No. 29720. [Class 141.] In trimmings for upholstery, particularly that of motor vehicles, a covered moulding or nailing strip is employed comprising a core a, Fig. 5, with a longitudinal channel a<2> for the insertion of the fastening and a masking cover preferably of ribbed textile material, such as is shown in Fig. 2, and consisting of a plain zone b<2> separating twc pile fabric zones b, b<1>. The cover may consist of two separate strips the edges of which are put close together over the slit, or, as shown in Fig. 4, the fabric of Fig. 2 is employed with the plain zone fitting around the dovetail walls of the channel. Marginal plain sections b<3> of the fabric tuck under the moulding. The moulding is made of flexible material, preferably indiarubber. The cover may be of leather, paper, sheet indiarubber, or other flexible material having a ribbed or spongy surface.
