[Class 40 (v).] In a wireless receiver employing reaction, means controlled by the valve output are provided for applying, to a control electrode of the valve, a direct current potential to prevent the production of self-oscillation. The purpose of the invention is to enable reaction to be utilized to produce high selectivity. An auxiliary detecting valve 20 may be connected across the reaction coil 17 as shown and the voltage across the output resistance 24 used to bias the valve 10.
