Abstract
375,779. Agglomerating fuel. ROGERS, F. H.,. 181, Queen Victoria Street, London.- (Lehmann, K. ; 223, Alfredstrasse, Essen, Germany.) March 23, 1931, No. 8871. [Class 50.] The finest dust up to a particle size of 0À1 mm. which is rich in fusain is removed from fine coal to be briquetted. Preferably the coal is subjected to a resilient disintegrating or shattering action as described in Specification 363,618. The finest fusian is drawn off by air suction and the remaining fusian can be separated by means of a coarse sieve, the dust from which is separated into coarse and fine portions by a finer sieve. The fine dust may be used for coal dust fuelling and the coarse remixed with the coal for briquetting.
