Abstract

375,587. Electrotherapeutic appliances. STIEBÍCK, L. H., 18, Hietzinger Hauptstrasse, Vienna. July 28, 1931, No. 21509. Convention date, Aug. 9, 1930. [Class 81 (ii).] In order to minimize shunt losses, the feed lines 3, 4 connecting a source 5 of high-frequency oscillations to the field electrodes 1, 2, of a therapeutic appliance are in the form of Lecher wires tuned to, or determining, the frequency of the generated wave. The electrodes are displaceable along the Lecher wires in order to regulate the current applied to the patient. By attaching electrodes at different points along the feed-lines several patients can be treated simultaneously from the same high-frequency source.
