Abstract
375,485. Tobacco. BERGMANN, C., 37, Emser-Allee, Dresden, Germany. May 1, 1931, No. 12929. Convention date, July 28, 1930. [Class 130.] Bundles of tobacco leaves are disintegrated by centrifugal action. They may be fed into a hopper rotating about its axis, passing into a radial sinuous passage, or into a rotating spiral passage. The outer surface of the spiral 8 is perforated for dust to pass through into an outer chamber from which it is removed by suction. From the outlet 11 the leaves fall on to a conveyer 16, heavier particles or unseparated masses being projected into a funnel 19.
