375,244. Rubber threads. REVERE RUBBER CO., 355, Valley Street, Rhode Island, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Hazell, E. ; 10, Sheridan Square, New York, U.S.A.). Feb. 29, 1932, No. 6044. Convention date, March 11, 1931. [Class 70.] A nozzle for the extrusion of latex in the production of square, triangular, rectangular or other straight-sided filaments has outwardly concave sides and cusped corners as shown. This shaping partially negatives the surface tension effect tending to give the filament a circular cross section. The sharp edges of the filament are advantageous when fibrous material is spun round it, and the filaments are useful in the manufacture of golf balls.
