375,228. Filling-nozzles for bottles. WITTIG, A. B., 35, Tycho Brahes Alle, Copenhagen. Jan. 26, 1932, No. 2398. Convention date, May 21, 1931. [Class 125 (ii).] Relates to filling-nozzles for bottles, of the type having a central air tube, and an outer liquid-supply tube part of which is relatively slidable thereto. According to the invention the nozzle 5 of the liquid-supply tube projects beyond the resilient seating 7 for the bottle neck 14 so as to cause an air lock when the bottle is filled to the lower extremity of the nozzle. On raising the tube 3 the liquid supply is cut off by the action of the spring 9. An annular groove 4 is provided in the tube 3 to receive an operating member, e.g. a fork, for raising and lowering the tube.
