Abstract
374,531. Observation stations. ROBERTSON, J. H., 1, Albemarle Street, Piccadilly, London. March 17, 1931, No. 8174. [Class 20 (i).] Sighting or observation apertures in cylindrical or other armoured chambers a, having front and rear sighting passages e, a<1>, as described for example in Specifications 128,607 and 129,477, [both in Class 20 (i), Buildings and structures, Kinds &c. of], are provided with separate upper and lower lip members b, c which are secured on the chamber about the passage e to facilitate accurate registration of the front and rear passages after the chamber has been subjected to heat treatment. The chamber, as shown in Fig. 2, is provided with a number of spaced front passages e and spaced rear passages a<1>, the latter being covered by spring-controlled hinged frames g fitted with unsplinterable glass g2 and a rubber cushioning pad g<6>. The endpieces f of the chamber are furnished with trunnions f<1> to permit rotation of the chamber in the shield or the like on which it is mounted.
