Abstract
Reactions between gases are carried out by submitting the gases to the influence of positive glow discharges emitted by one or more discharge electrodes coacting with one or more electrodes which are earthed or of opposite polarity. Liquid or solid products will be electrically precipitated by the field in which the reaction occurs, and any unprecipitated products may be separated by a subsequent electrical field. The reaction may be assisted by the addition of electrically charged particles or other carriers of electricity before or during the treatment with glow discharges.
