Abstract
373,382. Type-printing telegraphy. SIEMENS & HALSKE AKT.-GES., Siemensstadt, Berlin. May 6, 1931, No. 13388. Convention date, May 9, 1930. [Class 40 (iii).] In a system in which each code combination comprises a starting signal (usually a no-current signal) followed by combination impulses, means are provided for preventing the receiver shaft from starting late as compared with the transmitter shaft. To this end the starting interruption is given by a transmitter cam 6 mounted on a shaft 1 different from the shaft 12 which bears the cams 13 .. 18 controlling the combination impulses and the stopping signal. Depression of a key acts through the lever 3, catch 5 and clutch 2 to engage shaft 1 with the driving wheel w for one revolution. Cam 6 then sends out the starting signal after which cam 9 acts through catch 10 and clutch 11 to engage the shaft 12, which is thus started in phase with the distant receiver shaft.
