[Class 83 (i).] Metal-pouring. - The base of a vertical centrifugal chill has a recess to receive the molten metal which communicates, by means of one or more channels, with the bottom of the mould walls. The base a may be recessed to receive a cup b and tubes c of refractory material which receive the molten metal without splashing.
