372,959. Cycle stands. PARKES, S. R., Pretoria Works, New Road, Willenhall, Staffordshire. May 23, 1931, No. 15251. [Class 136 (i).] A rack for storing cycles is formed wholly of metal and comprises a number of spaced dividing-frames or partitions, each of which is formed of parts 1, 2, made, for example, of channel-sectioned sheet metal, connected together at 3, 4 by brackets or lugs to form a unit, such flat units being readily separable to facilitate transport &c. The flat frames are spaced apart in pairs, to receive the cycle wheels between them, by two standard lengths of tubular distance pieces 10, 11, a larger space being left between the pairs, and coupling- bolts of three standard lengths are passed through the distance pieces. Alternate pairs of frames are provided with inclined guideplates 9 removably fitted on the distance pieces and adapted to raise the cycle wheel, so that alternate cycles are stored at a higher level to prevent fouling of the handle-bars.
