[Class 120 (iii).] A tubular bobbin body 7 is composed of rolled and stiffened paper and has a base or flange 8 also composed of rolled and stiffened paper, the said base being contained within a metal shield 9, 10, having a tubular shank 11, which extends into the tubular bobbin body, lugs 12, pointed at 13, on the shank positively engaging the paper of the bobbin body. Driving slots 14 may be provided by slitting the bobbin base and the metal shield. The device may also be applied to the head of a bobbin.
