372,370. Television. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd., Marconi House, Strand, and DOWSETT, H. M., 47, Drayton Gardens, Winchmore Hill, both in London. Feb. 6, 1931, No. 3868. [Class 40 (iii).] In a television scanning system, a mirrored member 3 with rough scanning accuracy reflects concentrated light on the operative aperture 5 of a member 4 giving accurate scanning. Light from a point source 1, modulated by received signals, is projected by a lens 2 on the mirrors of a mirror wheel, which reflect the light through the apertures of a Nipkow disc, arranged behind the mirror wheel and driven at the same speed, and a semi-opaque material 6, such as paper or frosted glass, diffuses the image formed by the disc. The disc may be replaced by an apertured drum on the same shaft as the disc.
