[Class 144 (i).] Wheels for tractors and the like in which the rim is formed by a series of edge-on sinuous rings a, such as described in Specification 263,965, [Class 144 (i), Wheels for vehicles], are fitted with cleats f secured to some or all of the side faces of the rings so arranged that the bearing surfaces increase as the wheel sinks into the ground. In the construction shown, the cleats are of wedge-section with the apices at, or adjacent, the rim periphery. Specification 341,035 is also referred to.
