Abstract

241,742. McLaren, H. Dec. 1, 1924. Endless-track vehicles.-A traction wheel for use in soft ground is formed with pivoted shoes 1 which have flanges 5 all round the edges of the ground-engaging surfaces. Eye-bolts 8 with screwed stems which pass through holes in the wheel periphery and are secured in position by nuts 9, attach the shoes to the wheel, pins 11 passing through the eyes in the bolts 8 and pairs of eyes 7 carried on the shoes, as shown. The rounded heads of the bolts 8 fit recesses in the shoes.
