369,908. Spray-producers. TREICHEL, O., 40, Mullerstrasse, and PROCURATOR VERMOGENS-VERWALTUNGS-GES. (formerly MINIMAX GES.), 20, Schiffbauerdamm, both in Berlin. Dec. 29, 1930, No. 39082. Convention date, Dec. 30, 1929. [Class 69 (iii).] Liquids more particularly those which form a gelatinous mass on exposure to air, such as aluminium acetate solution, silicon tetrachloride, titanium tetrachloride, tin tetrachloride &c. are sprayed by forcing them between walls one at least of which is resilient which form an annular gap under working pressures. The apparatus may comprise a liquid supply tube A closed at C by a cap and controlled by a cock B provided with a cross tube G having a rubber or other resilient stopper S mounted on a screwed spindle W. The liquid is sprayed between the resilient stopper S and the rigid tube G. In a modification the tube may be resilient and the stopper rigid. For cleaning the cap C may be removed and any precipitate dissolved by pouring in a chemical such as methyl alcohol or methylated spirit. The sprayer may be used in conjunction with cartridges containing compressed gases which may be wholly or partially soluble in the liquid to be sprayed.
