Abstract

367,780. Bobbins &c. BRITISH CELANESE, Ltd., 22, Hanover Square, London, RILEY, R. H. J., ROBERTS, R. P., and BARNETT, T. C., of British Celanese, Spondon, near Derby. Nov. 17, 1930, No. 34633. [Class 120 (iii).] Bobbins 1 are provided with a resilient surface 3 comprising coagulated rubber latex and a resilient filling material. The resilient surface may be smooth or corrugated, and preferably consists of 7-8 parts commercial latex to 1 part cork flour. The bobbins may be covered completely or partly, or a number of separate ridges or bars of the resilient material may be applied, and adhesion of the coating is preferably assisted by the provision of grooves or channels 2, 5. A thin coat of varnish may be applied to the resilient surface. According to the Provisional Specification other resilient surfaces may be employed such as crimped paper; corrugated cardboard; solid, sponge, crepe, or other forms of rubber.
