Abstract

367,017. Coin purses o r cases. APPLEFORD, C., 385, Moreland Road West, Coburg, Victoria, Australia. Nov. 13, 1930, No. 34221. [Class 18.] A coin purse or case comprises a body 8 to which is pivoted a tiltable cover 9 having a coin receptacle in its underside, the opening of the cover causing a part thereof to descend into the body and a part to rise therefrom and expose the coins in the raised position ; the cover may carry pockets 9d for the coins and may have a hinged panel 9a which, when the cover is open, may be moved back to facilitate access to the coins. The pockets 9d are graduated in size and are of less depth than the diameter of the contained coins while the bases of the pockets are stepped so that the smaller coins are elevated relatively to the larger ones ; spring tongues may be provided in the pockets to hold the coins securely. Tickets &c. may be held in the space 8a beneath the pockets and a chamber 11 hinged to the bottom of the body 8 carries a mirror, matches, &c. Eyes or loops 14a are provided for a wrist strap and one or more bails or clips 13 may be provided for holding tickets. The cover is pivoted in the body by a springy axle 10 and has a handle 8b to facilitate opening.
