[Class 132 (iii).] Aspark-producing trundling toy comprises two wheel halves a, b having apertures c, preferably covered by coloured transparent panes, the wheel half b having fixed to it an axle f loosely carrying one arm of the fork o rigidly connected to the lower end of the trundling handle n, the other arm of the fork o engaging with the projecting end of the sleeve p into which extends the axle f. A friction disc m is coaxially fixed to the inner side of each wheel half. A large toothed wheel r is keyed on the axle f between the two lateral cheeks of the casing g mounted on the middle of the axle f. The toothed wheel r meshes with a small gear wheel s keyed on an axle w journalled in and projecting beyond the two lateral cheeks of the casing g. Two large toothed wheels i are keyed on the axle wand mesh with small gear wheels h loosely mounted on the axle f, the gearing being such that the gear wheels h rotate at a much higher speed than the axle f. A plate v is rigidly mounted on the outer side of each of the wheels h and cerium stone holders k are hingedly mounted on the outer side of the plate v so that the cerium stones yieldably bear against the friction discs m under the action of centrifugal force when the toy is trundled along to produce sparks visible through the coloured transparent panes covering the apertures c.
