Abstract

363,637. Moulds for cement products. GARTNER, W., 2, Home Glen, Wellesley Road, Twickenham, Middlesex. Sept. 19, 1930, No. 28009. [Class 87 (ii).] Imitation tiled or brick objects moulded from an aggregate with surface grooves to imitate the jointing marks between tiles &c. have these marks produced by ribs fixed to a mould or detachable as a unit therefrom. The mould 1 is provided with a face-plate 2 carrying the ribs 3 or the ribs may form a separate grid, Fig. 3, which is attached to the mould by dowel pins 4. The aggregate may be homogeneous, or a first layer of coloured cement and crushed vitreous material may be screeded off at the rib level and a less expensive cementitious material added as a backing. The jointing marks may be painted or grouted to enhance the divided effect.
