Abstract

363,143. Guards for gas cooking- stoves. MILES, W. S., 99, Chiltern Avenue, Bushey, Hertfordshire. Dec. 23, 1930, No. 38636. [Class 126.] A guard for preventing soiling of walls by the grease-laden fumes from gas cooking- ovens comprises a plate A supported in front of, and spaced from, the vent-hole by a bracket E permariently or removably attached to the flange of the hole, the plate, being provided with a trough D to collect the grease. In the form shown the bracket comprises a spring clip portion F which grips the flange of the vent-hole, and a tang G which passes through a slot B in the plate. The top C of the plate is bent forward to direct the fumes away from the wall.
