[Class 126.] A device for supporting utensils on a hotplate to prevent burning of the contents comprises two plates A, D, the upper being slightly the smaller and having a downturned rim E with flanges riveted or otherwise secured to the lower plate, an air gap being thus formed. The lower plate is shown also provided with a flange B. Perforations F may be provided in the top-plate or in its flange E.
