Abstract

361,563. Sacks for cement &c. RAWLINS, J. D., Syston Court, Mangotsfield, near Bristol, and PAPER SACKS, Ltd., Keynsham, Somerset. Oct. 30, 1930, No. 32669. [Class 94 (ii).] A bag or sack comprises an outer covering of extensible in aterial, such as hessian, and a liner of paper or other inextensible material having a zone or band of crepe paper or other extensible material, the extensibility of which is not less than that of the outer covering. The arrangement provides mutual accommodation between the lining and the outer covering. A strip 3 of crepe paper, loosely woven cloth, or cloth cut on the bias is sewn or adhered to the top of a multi-ply paper container 2, the whole being inserted in an outer jute or hessian bag 1. The strip may be free at its upper edge or may be sewn to the outer bag through a reinforcing strip 7.
