Abstract

361,321. Knitting-machines. GREEN, G. H. and ECONOMIC WINDINGS CO., Ltd., Bulwer Road, Leicester. Aug. 15, 1930, No. 24461. [Class 74 (ii).] Strip members 1 having corrugated surfaces are provided for guiding the needles, sinkers, jacks, &c. of a knitting - machine. Corrugations may be provided in one or both faces, and are of varying height to neutralize the normal radiation of such guiding surfaces in a circular machine. The corrugations 1b may extend transversely to an edge of the strip, such corrugations increasing in height towards the edge, or may extend lengthwise of the strip. Each corrugation 1c of this latter form is of uniform depth, but deeper corrugations are provided towards the edge of the strip. The strips may be stamped between tools 6, 7 having grooves 9 and teeth 10 which conform to the corrugations in the strip. An adjustable stop 11 is provided for positioning the strip relatively to the teeth and grooves.
