Abstract

361,315. Dental drills; artificial teeth. HOLLMANN, H., 10, Poststrasse, Dortmund, Germany. Aug. 5, 1930, No. 23467. [Class 81 (ii).] A drill for cutting stepped holes in. the roots of teeth for the reception of stepped root-pins comprises four integral parts of successively increasing diameter having longitudinal grooves 15, for example four, leaving cutting faces 11, 12, 13, Fig. 1. The fourth step 14 serves as an abutment to limit the depth of penetration of the drill. A cutting point 16 is provided. The tooth-root, Fig. 3, comprises steps 1, 2, 3, longitudinal grooves 4 permitting escape of excess cement during fixing and an extension 9 to which an artificial crown is fixed.
