Abstract

In making cocoa or chocolate by the method described in the parent Specification, i.e. using cocoa butter vitaminized by addition of irradiated ergosterol, the process is modified by replacing the cocoa butter partly or wholly by other fats miscible with cocoa or chocolate products, and not spoiling the taste thereof. Refined lanoline, paraffin wax and beeswax are mentioned as examples of fats for replacing the cocoa butter.
