Abstract

360,046. Leather for textile rollers. ORMEROD & SONS, Ltd., J., Globe Leather Works, Castleton, near Manchester, and HILL, J. E., 146, Church Road, Bolton. Aug. 2, 1930, No. 23346. [Class 76.] Leather for use in covering textile rollers is made up in long lengths by cutting strips from the skin, bevelling the ends and cementing them end to end ; the strips being then wound on a reel and enveloped in a protective covering. The leather may be wound on a tube b and held in place by flanges b<1> secured by plugs b<2>. Waterproof paper wrapping d is adhered to the flanges and the roll of leather, a wrapping e is passed round the reel and discs f are stuck on the faces of the end flanges.
