[Class 68 (ii).] Z-section piles a, bare assembled in pairs to form trough-like units, the joints d, g of which are made rigid by pressing, welding, or the like; these units are then rammed, intermediate members c being used for connecting the edges e. As shown, the members c are on one side only of the wall, and have extended jaws. In a modification, the edges of the connecting members c bear against projections on the flanges of the pile members.
