Abstract

359,701. Scrubbing and mopping floors. GRUNDEI, A., 147, Kreis Neisse, Langendorf, Germany. Oct. 17, 1930, No. 31094. [Class 138 (i).] A scrubbing and mopping machine for large houses, restaurants, and the like, comprises a liquid container a, Fig. 1, for wetting the floor, a plurality of scrubbers h and mops q. The liquid is fed by a distributer b. The scrubbers h are formed of ribbed rubber pressed on the floor by springs i, and are reciprocated by clamps set, as shown, on a shaft m on carrying wheels o. The scrubbers are guided in slots k, Fig. 2, by bolts j. The mops q are changeable and similarly reciprocated and guided as the scrubbers. The machine is moved to and fro by a handle t. The scrubbing and mopping members may be raised off the floor by a rope hoist s attached to a plate p carrying the scrubbers &c.
