Abstract
358,966. Toothbrushes. LEMOINE, H. G., La Buissionniere, near Perriers-on- Andelle, Eure, France. April 12, 1930, No. 11686. Convention date, April 26, 1929. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 61 (i).] Handles with recessed-back retaining devices for brushes.-An interchangeable toothbrush has a handle 1 and head 1a formed of ivory &c. in one piece, the recessed head having an undercut wall 2a at the front end to engage the sloping end 3a of the bristle stock 3 which is retained in the head by a catch 4 pivoted at 5 and engaged by a spring 6 bearing against a transverse pin 7. In the modification shown in Fig. 3 the rear end 3b of the stock 3 is engaged by a bone or ivory catch 8 carried by a blade spring 9 secured to a support 10 and in a further modification, Fig. 5, a ball 11 in a sleeve 13 is pressed by a spring 12 into engagement with a notch 3c in the end of the stock.
