Abstract
A moulding powder comprises an artificial resin made from urea or thiourea and formaldehyde, condensed to such a stage that it flows only at high pressure, and a number of different plasticizers or flow agents, each in small proportion (not more than 3 per cent). Articles are made by moulding the powder under heat and pressure. A neutral organic substance capable of yielding free acid under moulding conditions, e.g. oxalic acid dimethyl ester, may be added. A classified list of plasticizers is given in the Specification.
