356,392. Filters. TECALEMIT, Ltd., Mitre House, Scrubbs Lane, Willesden, London. July 19, 1930, No. 21918. Convention date, July 19, 1929. [Class 46.] In apparatus for filtering oil comprising a filter element in a reservoir casing, the casing is fixed on a base and the latter is itself fixed on a support by means through which the dirty oil or filtrate flows. A filter casing 1 is fixed to a base 6 by means of hollow screws 10, 11, and the base 6 is fixed to a support C by similar screws 22, 23. The screws 10, 11 engage respectively with internally threaded unions 2, 3 which are mounted in the base 1a of the filter casing. The liquid to be filtered passes through the axial passage in the screw 22, and a transverse aperture in the screw to an annular space surrounding a reduced portion of the screw, thence through a channel 19 in the base 6 to a similar annular space 13 surrounding the screw 10 and through the screw to the interior of the filter element F. The filtrate passes away through the screw 11, passage 20 and screw 23.
