Abstract

356,315. Carbon - paper holders. KELLY, C. L., 75, West Van Buren Street, Chicago, U.S.A. June 13, 1930, No. 18187. Convention date, April 28. [Class 16.] A carbon-paper holder for use in typewriters &c. consists of a backing sheet 2 of oiled paper &c. having at one end a folded flap 3 under which the carbon papers are inserted and aligned against the fold, and a flexible strip 6 of celluloid &c. which is interlaced through spaced slits 5 in the flap 3, backing-sheet 2, and carbon papers. The ends of the strip 6 are rounded to facilitate insertion through the slits, and the central portion 8 of the strip is of greater width than the end portions to form a stop between the two central slits 5 to prevent displacement of the strip, the narrower ends being interlaced separately through the central slits outwards. The lower edge of the strip 6 .serves for aligning the interleaved letter-paper.
