356,031. Tensioning sawblades. WICKSTEED & CO. (1920), Ltd., C. and WICKSTEED, R., Stamford Road Works, Kettering. Nov. 7, 1930, No. 33488. [Class 145 (ii).] In order to provide a standard initial tension for hack - saw blades, a spring C and housing B are arranged beneath the nut A, which is turned by hand until the housing comes in contact with the frame D, thus putting an initial tension on the saw blade determined by the resistance of the spring. Exact tensioning is then obtained by a dehnite rotation of the nut beyond this point. An indicating arm working over a dial fixed to the frame may be added.
