M.; Marlin Arms Building, New Haven, both in Connecticut, U.S.A.) Sept. 16, 1930, No. 27621. Convention date, Sept. 17, 1929. [Class 140.] The edges of compound transparent sheets of glass and plastic material are sealed by burning away the marginal edge of the plastic sheet and inserting and compressing cementitious material in the groove so formed. A disc 21 rotatablv mounted in a forked holder 27 and heated by current supplied to two slip rings 22, 23 may be used to burn the edge of the plastic and a rotatable brush 28, Fig. 9. to clean the groove. The cementitious material may be applied by nozzle 37 from a heated container 33 and compressed along the edge by a rubber or like-faced roller 30. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 299,900, [Class 20 (iii), Doors &c.]
