Abstract
355,485. Floor mats &c. WALKER & SONS, Ltd., W. and BASS, F. T., Rose Hill Tannery, Bolton. Aug. 6, 1930, No. 23496. [Class 142 (iv).] In door mats &c. of the type comprising leather links a jointed together on binding rods b so as to roll up readily, the links a are assembled on a plate c formed with spacing projections so that the links may be accurately aligned, and they are then threaded on bars b of brass, copper, or other uncorrodible metal. Metal end bars are then mounted on the ends of the bars h, and tapered nuts g are screwed on the threaded ends of the bars, which are finally clinched to prevent rotation. At each end k of the mat, longer leather strips and metal bars m engaged by three bars b are used.
