[Class 100 (ii).] Printing in several colours.-In a process for printing multicoloured maps, plans, &c., two groups of partial originals are first prepared, the members of one group representing the black and the differently coloured areas of the map &c. and those of the second group representing the black and the differently coloured line portions of the map &c., e.g. rivers, railways, &c. Negatives of all the partial originals are then taken, those of the coloured ones according to the three-colour process, and those corresponding to the first group being taken through a screen. The negatives corresponding to identical colours are then combined and from these four combination negatives, printing plates are prepared in the usual manner.
