Abstract

353,920. Mangles and wringers. SUMMERSCALES, W. H. G. and KAY, J., Parkside Works, Keighley, Yorkshire. April 29, 1930, No. 13113. [Class 138 (ii).] The bottom member 2 of the framework of a mangle or wringer is formed of sheet metal bent to channel form with an oppositely directed channel shaped sheet metalreinforcing member 3 inserted therein. Holes 2a .. 2d are formed in the sides of the bottom frame member and the screwed shank 9 of a clamp 4 is passed through the holes in one of the pairs of opposite sides, either vertically as shown through the holes 2a, 2b or horizontally through the holes 2c, 2d. The clamp is secured by a nut so that the mangle or wringer may be clamped either to a tub side 7 as shown or to a table edge.
