Abstract

353,818. Capillary-action lubricating. BOSCH AKT.-GES., R., 4, Militarstrasse, Stuttgart, Germany. Dec. 23, 1930, No. 38663. Convention date, Jan. 16. [Class 12 (iii).] The distributer gear-wheel 5 of a magneto is secured on a closed-ended bush 4 mounted on a fixed pin 2, one end of a wick 8 arranged within an axial bore in the pin dipping into oil in a chamber 9 while the other end is pressed by a spring 7 into contact with the end wall 3 of the bush. The bush is positioned endwise by a cap 11 threaded on a flange 16 on the pin and holding an annular disc 13 against a ring 12 sprung into an annular groove in the bush. The disc is caused to rotate with the bush by a projection 15 engaging a longitudinal groove 14 in the bush. The cap 11 is secured in adjusted position by a peg 17 adapted to engage one of a number of recesses in the cap. Oil supplied by the wick 8 spreads over the surface of the pin and returns to the other end of the wick which is bent back through a hole in the flange 16.
