Abstract

353,420. Current transformers. BORKENT, R. H., 43, Delistraat, The Hague. April 16, 1930, No. 12098. Convention date, June 25, 1929. [Class 38 (ii).] A current transformer compensated for phase angle and ratio errors has a plurality of magnetic cores, some of the cores bearing each a plurality of electri. cally connected secondary coils, the coils of at least two cores being such, that the number of turns of the coils on the same core differ from each other, the secondary winding of the transformer comprising parallel branches formed by coils upon a plurality of cores. Circuits comprising u, wand v, x, Fig. 1, in series are connected in parallel to supply the burden Zs. In a modification the coils u, v and w, x are connected in auto transformer arrangement to effect economy of winding. A bridge connection is obtained as shown in Fig. 4 by connecting an impedance Zt between band d. In a modification of this circuit a transformer secondary is connected in series with the impedance Zt. This transformer may have a further secondary coil that is shorter through an impedance.
