[Class 52 (ii).j In a chair-bed of the kind in which the back can be raised from its nor mal position agains the seat into a position above the back frame, the back is supported at each end by a pair of levers witl associated connec tions which effec reversal of the back in positive manner during its upward movement, and position it, when raised, substanti ally vertical anc immediately and entirely above the fixed back frame. Such a device is shown in the drawings, comprising the back 1, levers 4, 5, and links 6, 8. A pivoted slotted catch 9 may engage a pin 11 on the lever 4 to lock the back in raised position.
