Abstract

352,063. Electric incandescent lamp filaments. LUND, W. H., 77, School Road, Moseley, and HOWARD, W. C., Oaklands, Charlotte Road, Edgbaston, both in Birming- ham. April 3, 1930, No. 10526. [Class 39 (ii).] Electric incandescent lamps for vehicle head-lamps and the like are provided with a filament a which is of semicircular form and lies in a plane at right-angles to the longitudinal axis of the lamp, the ends of the filament being uppermost and being so positioned that the central or lowermost part of the filament lies on, or approximately on, the longitudinal axis. The ends of the filament are connected to the ends of a pair of spaced supports b, located above the longitudinal axis of the lamp. The filament is preferably formed of fine wire coiled helically. Specification 291,571, [Class 39 (ii), Electric lamps, Incandescent], is referred to.
