Abstract

351,735. Disc wheels. SIMPSON, B. and MURDOCH, H. B., of Simpson, Fawcett & Co., Black Bull Street, Hunslet, Leeds. June 24, 1930, No. 19169. [Classes 12 (i) and 144 (i).] A wheel, particularly suitable for perambulators, toy velocipedes, and the like, comprises a pair of discs 1 the centres of which are fitted with externallyprojecting cups 2 which, as shown in Fig. 2, may constitute outer ball-races or, as shown in Fig. 1, may serve to house the ballraces 3. In a further modification, the races 3 are fitted in split channelsection rings pressed into the cups 3. In all cases, the latter are formed with lugs 10 clamped, and in some cases welded, to the inner edges of the wheel discs. Rubber or other resilient washers 7 may be fitted behind the inner ball-races 5.
