[Class 135.] Stops, adjustable.-In a dashpot connected with a rod or other member 25 through trip mechanism, a valve movable between independent seats may provide a differential effect for the two directions of movement. The two sides of the piston are connected through a byepass 10 in which a doublebeat valve 12 is arranged between two seats 13, 14 and is adapted to close towards one or other of the seats according to the direction in which the fluid is displaced. Screwed adjusting spindles 15,16 or stops are provided so that the valve 12 can be adjusted so that it closes equally in each direction or to a greater extent in one direction than the other thus varying the rate of displacement of the fluid.
