[Class 6 (i).] Rotary machines having spring-mounted tools are provided with rubber buffers to limit the backward movements of the tools due to their engagement with obstacles. The tools shown consist of hooks or tines 6 interchangeably carried by springs 5 fixed to projections 4 on bosses 2 on a rotary shaft 1. A rubber buffer 7 is secured in a sleeve or socket 8 behind each tool.
