Abstract

350,355. Safety razors. BEMELMANS, G., Lanaeken, Limbourg, Belgium. Sept. 29, 1930, No. 29176. Convention date, Oct. 1, 1929. [Class 30.] In a safety razor the flexible blade 2 is clamped between clamping and guardplates 3, 4 made entirely of indiarubber or other deformable material to permit a slight yield during shaving. For clamping purposes the clamping plate may carry a threaded pin of hardened rubber or a soft rubber pin surrounded by a threaded metallic tube. Specification 243,881, [Class 30, Cutlery], is referred to. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the blade may be clamped between layers of indiarubber fixed to the clamping and guard-plates. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
