[Class 141.] Garments, such as shirts, are cut to the size of the person by taking a single measurement and using a device comprising the protractor shown in Fig. 1 with a scale pivoted thereto. The protractor may have marked on it at different angles numbers indicating the certain lengths measured from the centre, and the scale, which in use may be pinned to the protractor, has units corresponding in size to the size of the person measured. In drafting the pattern, the number of units shown on the protractor is taken along the particular line. Instead of using, as in this form of apparatus, a single protractor with different scales, a single scale may be used with different protractors.
