348,507. Colour photography. DEGENHARDT, A. F., 37, Mortimer Street, London. Nov. 12, 1929, No. 34480. [Class 98 (ii).] In a process for colouring the images on a film having an emulsion coating on each side, the images on one side are treated by floating the film over bleaching and dye baths, the bleaching bath being so composed that the dye images produced are unaffected by another bleacher, and the film is then immersed in a second bleaching bath and a dye bath to colour the images on the other side. In an example the first bleacher comprises potassium ferricyanide, potassium iodide, potassium bromide, acetic acid and ferric ammonium sulphate, the images on this side being dyed blue or blue-green. The second bleacher may comprise potassium iodide, iodine and citric acid, the images being dyed orangered. Ammonium bichromate may be added to the first bleacher. It is stated that the first bleacher has a slight toning effect on the silver images.
