347,820. Mudguards. WHITLING, C. C., 339A, Harrow Road, and HARVEY, G., 2, Ealing Park Gardens, both in London. March 12, 1930, No. 8012. Drawings to Specification. (Class 136 (i).] Mudguards or wings for motor and other vehicles are made from resilient material, such as rubber, so as to yield under a blow and then return to their normal shape. The rubber &c. may be reinforced by doped or rubbered fabric, or by resilient metal, such as a framework, spring strips, flattened helical springs, &c., incorporated or applied during moulding etc.; or fabric and metallic reinforcements may be both included. The construction may include one or more flexible portions in combination with resilient portions. Parts of the metallic reinforcements may project for the attachment of fittings &c. The mudguard may be moulded from granulated or powdered rubber, and may be formed with bosses, apertures, &c. for attachment purposes, which bosses &c. may have metal liners moulded therein. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 126,893, 222,921, 240,835, 255,597, 295,294, 316,165, 327,459, and 328,982, [all in Class 136 (i), Cycle &c. accessories].
